How much time do you really need?

January 3, 2012: Just a random thought, have you ever really given any thought to how much time it takes to do the most mundane routine things we do every day?

This morning, my 16yr old daughter commented that she had planned a variety of lunch menu ideas (I did the shopping), but each day only had time to make a Fluffanutter (peanut butter and marshmallow fluff, for those of you outside New England) sandwich. This comment lead me right down the path of thinking about time.

This is a typical morning for me:

10-15 minutes each morning making and eating my simple breakfast. Another 10 minutes in the shower, 20 make myself presentable (Hair/Makeup/Clothing) and of course the first 20 is used up simply for drinking my daily coffee and waking up. (No one speaks to me until I've had at least one cup, some days more LOL).

Today's Tip:

Take a look at the way you spend your time. It can be a frightening look into your routine and daily life. Some numbers will be harder to face than others. All of them will give you an outside look into your time management style. This is a great time to make slight changes in how you do things, maybe you could combine some tasks to save time to use for something of pleasure. So, take a day or two to track your time and see how you're doing.
