Do your thoughts hold you back?

January 6, 2012: Lets face it, how many times in a day do you ask yourself "where did that thought come from"? I find myself questioning myself many times during each and every day.

Your thoughts are based on the experiences you have had in your life. The hard part is that you can not change what has happened to you, but you can change the way you allow it to effect your current thoughts. I find it helpful to ask myself, how is this thought helping me? If it isn't helping me move forward, I make the choice

Why do women “Suffer for the benefit of others”?

January 5, 2012: Today's post comes from a conversation I had with my sister. Why do we do this to ourselves? We take the crap that comes from a situation to save others from the pain of taking it on themselves.

We suffer in silence when we know that our child is making a decision that could be detrimental to them, but we know that they HAVE to go through it to learn on their own. We sit by and let other people's needs be met while our needs take the back-seat (sometimes even the trunk).

4 Random things about me

January 4, 2012: The 4th day of Jan 2012, so I thought I would do a random post. Since I am new to the blogging world, I thought maybe sharing some info about myself would be appreciated.

1) I live in Massachusetts now, but I spent 10.5yrs in Florida (worked for Walt Disney World Inc. most of that time)

2) I married a Floridian and moved him to New England. The purpose was; to give our girls the best K-12 education we could at the time. The result is; him suffering through these odd SE Massachusetts

How much time do you really need?

January 3, 2012: Just a random thought, have you ever really given any thought to how much time it takes to do the most mundane routine things we do every day?

This morning, my 16yr old daughter commented that she had planned a variety of lunch menu ideas (I did the shopping), but each day only had time to make a Fluffanutter (peanut butter and marshmallow fluff, for those of you outside New England) sandwich. This comment lead me right down the path of thinking about time.

January 2, 2012: We are off and running into another new year. Another chance to think about where you want to be in 365 days from now. Did you ask yourself this question in your reflection of 2011. No matter what we do and how hard we try, time is the one constant we can not control. The only time that truly matters is the moment we are in exactly now.
