Hidden Potential in your Chaos?

Is your schedule out of controlYou’ve probably heard that, “if you want something done, give it to a busy person” but if you’re like most of the 100’s of women I’ve talked with over the last few years, your organizing systems leave something to be desired.

Here’s why “if you want something done, give it to a busy person” works and what that looks like…

Most women are great at taking on a lot of responsibilities and commitments, and find a way to follow through on everything they commit to.

BUT, if you ask her how she gets it done, she has absolutely NO CLUE!  She will probably tell you she is overwhelmed by the state of her life.

She is constantly running from here to there and she never feels like she’s getting anything accomplished.

And, she definitely isn’t taking any time for herself.

This means that if you ask a busy woman to do something for you, it will get done, but she is giving up a piece of herself to do it.

Maybe you’re one of those busy women, or you know one.

Imagine how much happier you or she could be if you were on top of all the random things that come at you every day, and you knew whether or not you had time to take on any other tasks.

The easiest and most effective way to stay on top of your daily stuff is to keep up with things on a routine basis.  Then you are able to make quick decisions and changes when needed.

A good rule of thumb for maintaining a routine is to break things down to their simplest acts and do them on a regular basis.

With a working routine you can:

● Respond to emails in a timely manner

● Put your hands on any piece of paper whenever you need it (no more hunting)

● Rely on your calendar/schedule to tell you if you have time to add something new

● Know that if you were ever sidelined, your home would not fall apart, your family would know exactly what to do

Getting help to build your routine is like taking advantage of someone else’s trials and errors.  The sooner you start working on it the better.  And the longer you work at it, the more YOU it will be.

To quantum leap building your routine, I recommend participating in the Conquer your information Overload in 3 Easy Steps Virtual Workshop.

What would it mean to you if you were able to take action on the information being taught right away.  I know for me, it was the key to success in making a positive change.  That is the benefit of being on a LIVE virtual workshop.

ARGHH, I am out of control

Is your schedule out of controlHave you ever felt this way??

School is going to be starting again here in Massachusetts very soon.  (2-3 weeks, depending on where you live)  I am already thinking about the changes to my work schedule that need to be made to accommodate the new schedule my girls will have in High School.

What are you doing to prepare or adjust for the new schedule that fall brings??  Maybe your kids are all grown and this time of year isn’t an issue for you any longer??  Do your days just seem to run into each other, and you lose track of what you’ve been doing and why??

Take some time this week to focus on yourself and what you need from your schedule.  Maybe it’s more free time with the family/spouse, maybe its alone time, maybe you need to spend more time volunteering?  Whatever it is you’ve been missing, go ahead and schedule it in your calendar.

Next Tuesday August 21st at 2:30pm, I am hosting a FREE teleseminar called “Scheduling Secrets”.

I invite you to join us!!  CLICK HERE for details and to register for the class.  It will be fun and you might learn a new trick or two about making your schedule work for you.

*SEE* you there!!

To your Happiness & Joy,

Self-Care: Make a Bucket-List

Balancing Self Care

We’ve all heard of “Making a Bucket List” but have we truly taken the time to think about and make one of our own??  I doubt it.

Most of us feel too busy to take the time to do something so “frivolous”!!  But I want to share with you the impact making such a list has had on my life.

When I thought about doing this my first thought, was “Who am I to make a list like this?”  After a short period of thought, I turned around and said “Why Not Me??”  So here we go.

The process I went through to actually make the list was odd for me.  I started with the things that I knew were within my reach.  Then I started thinking a little bit outside of my own reality.  I started asking myself, what things were others doing that I read about that made me think, “Ooo, I want to do that some day!!”

Lastly, I started dreaming about things I never thought I would be able to do in my life.  This list includes things like, Taking a year to drive cross country with my family, and spending a month in Europe seeing the sights.

So, I challenge you today to start thinking about the things you would want to do before you die.  You are only alive for a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things, so what do you want to accomplish and what do you want to be remembered for??

To your Dreams and Desires!!
